Juliet & Juliet is a modern sapphic take on William Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet.

Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a timeless tale of two lovers whose families’ hatred ultimately leads to tragedy. Juliet & Juliet puts a sapphic spin on the classic, introducing Tokyo and Blue—two women who find love despite coming from rival families. But this time, the lovers may have a chance to change the ending.

After Blue transfers to a new school, she meets Tokyo, and the two quickly grow closer without knowing their families have a long-standing feud. Their romance takes a complicated turn when Blue’s family, the Monchaitrakuls, wins a major port development project over Tokyo’s family, the Kongpurims, reigniting the rivalry between the two households.

As their families become caught up in old grudges and schemes, Tokyo and Blue find themselves falling deeper in love. Can they break free from their families’ conflict and write a happier ending for themselves, or are they destined to follow the same tragic script as Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers?
